Technical Services Manager. (airline)

Professional Requirements:
- Degree in Aeronautical/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and/or holder of an EASA Part 66 license for a minimum of 10 years.
- Atotal of 15 years experience of which 8 years in a Technical
- Services function and at least 5 years on the Boeing 737NG and/or Classic.
- Experience of contract management essential.
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of aircraft technical support having proven history of filling various roles in a technical services department.
- Experience of managing a team of engineers and support staff supporting a medium sized fleet of aircraft.
- Thorough knowledge of other aspects of aircraft technical management and budgetry control.
- Must have a ’can do’ attitude with proven problem solving skills.
- Must be IT literate, preferably with the MS Office package
- and MRO control software experienced.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the technical services department that undertake the majority
- of the Subpart G technical support tasks.
- Deputise for the Engineering Director, NPH for maintenance.
- Responsible for the management of the outsourced Subpart G activity contracts.
- Ensure all paperwork that leaves the technical services department is
- correct and compliant with the regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for the accurate and efficient data entry into the aircraft
- management control solution.
- Responsible for the update and amendment of the Aircraft Maintenance Programs.
- Responsible for the management of the aircraft reliability program,
- ensuring the latest methods for data analysis are employed to secure
- the safest possible operating fleet.
- Build and review the department budget in conjunction with the engineering
- director and company finance department.

Responsible for the Aviall programme, the Programme Manager will manage
all aspects of that account. This will include working with and fully
understanding the Contract to ensure that the maximum benefits and
efficiencies are met. To manage regular meetings with Aviall and the client
to ensure current issues are being addressed within optimum timescales.
To ensure that Aviall are meeting our customers expectations and also that of our own repair facilities. To work with Aviall to grow the market and maximise spares sales.
Aviall is a logistics company which handles all of the sales for the civil spares for the client.
Aviall is based in the US and the successful candidate can expect to have to travel to strategic account meeting on a quarterly basis. The pricing and commercial negotiation with the customer is pretty much complete, they therefore require someone who can look at the agreements in place and maximise the account for the business.
Aerospace or airline industry experience is the preference for this role.
Experience & Knowledge:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

- Working with the Customer Account Managers to ensure the continued
- development of long - term customer relationships.
- Working with the Business Development Team, CS - Worldwide, to ensure

- Participating fully in the business planning process including the development of strategic options culminating in the completion of budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience in the sales and marketing of aftermarket products and services to the commercial aerospace market and in particular the airline industry.

Integrate with UK and US based site procurement, operations and LCE teams to form an effective commodity team, developing and deploying commodity strategies that deliver optimal business benefit and class leading supply chain performance.

Restructure supply chains & facilitate Preferred relationships to be deployed and LCE transition plans to be enabled.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Business or Engineering Degree, MBA/MSc desirable
Previous commodity leadership responsibility and/or strong operational purchasing experience preferably within an engineering environment and operating in a complex market and organisational environment.
Significant leadership experience within industry.
Significant previous commodity management domain knowledge and experience in a multi-site type organisation

Essential Responsibilities:
Lead the Business Purchasing team in their key role of supporting production and development programmes
Manage and develop the sourcing strategies for current programmes and indirect material at a commodity level, working together with the Global Supply chain team to ensure integration with sourcing strategies beyond the Hamble business where appropriate
Lead the selection and management of suppliers throughout the development stage into production, including the management of all commercial and technical risks associated with suppliers
Achieve annual targeted price reductions across direct and indirect commodities
Undertake supplier evaluations and performance reviews, initiate and resolve corrective actions
Initiate and lead supplier rationalisation and re-alignment programmes
Develop the Purchasing team in a planned and structured way based on individual needs and alignment to future business requirements using the standard GE toolset as well as coaching and mentoring
Plan, develop and implement strategies and processes to support the future Supply Chain needs of the business Ensure best-in-class on-time delivery and zero line stops within the inventory plan for purchased items
