Quality Improvement Engineer (AS9100 or TS16949)

Quality Improvement Engineer required for the largest and most diverse filtration, separations and purifications company in the world.
You will be responsible to improve customer service and plant profitability by improving plant quality whilst at the same time auditing and maintaining the relevant accreditation The co-ordination and monitoring of Quality Control activities within Aerospace to ensure that products comply with defined standards and that customer product specifications are retained
You must have the ability to communicate at all levels, the ability to manage staff, Broad-based and detailed industrial experience, Knowledge of Quality Systems, Knowledge of Quality Control techniques, Knowledge of welding processes and qualification requirements, Logical approach to problem solving and the ability to plan. Broad-based and detailed industrial experience in specifically Manufacturing, Inspection and Quality Control. Experience in a Supervisory/Managerial capacity is desirable.
The holder of the position is likely to have a Technical Certificate/HNC/HND/Degree and training in Quality Management/Quality Control techniques.
You must also be able to review and authorise release documentation.

Quality Assurance Manager

Quality Assurance Manager required for the Global Leaders in the manufacture and supply of aerospace components.
Job Purpose
To plan, co-ordinate and monitor a suitable quality system to assure product quality and
regulatory compliance, and to ensure that matters relating to quality are effectively
resolved.
Major Tasks
Understand, communicate and co-ordinate necessary company, customer and regulatory quality requirements and authorise appropriate responses, procedures and plans
Plan, organise and control internal quality audit programmes
Co-ordinate customer, regulatory and certification body quality audits and closure of any findings
Authorise suitable certification stamp holders and product release signatories / certifying staff
Report to top management on quality and regulatory quality compliance matters including where significant changes or improvements are required
Develop and implement the most efficient ways of carrying out necessary activities, minimising waste.
Person Requirements
Self-motivated leader with strong communication, inter-personal and organisational skills
HNC/HND or Degree in an Engineering discipline
At least five years’ industry-related experience in a senior quality role with good practical knowledge of aerospace quality and regulatory requirements
Trained quality auditor; Lead Auditor qualification preferred
Membership of Chartered Quality Institute preferred

Job Role
Inspects and verify the company's compliance with the airworthiness regulations, internal procedures and customer's contractual requirements from a project/product related view. Ensures up to date status of JBSL manuals, procedures and work instructions in accordance with applicable requirements.
Inspection and monitoring of hangars, workshops and stores
Education/ skills required
Preferrrably holder of Part-66 Aircraft Mechanic Licence (or equivalent)

Ensures up to date status of JBSL manuals, procedures and work instructions in accordance with applicable requirements.
Prepare and perform internal and external quality audits, and issuance of audit reports
Establishment and revision of JBSL Manuals (e.g. MOE, QAP, Capability List), and related Supplements and Procedures / Technical Instructions, etc.
Education and Experience
Additional training and several years of experience in aviation quality management and auditing
